Simply Landed: Bowmore 30 12 months Outdated at The Whisky Trade – Scotch Whisky Information
August tenth, 2022
New to The Whisky Trade, the 2021-release of Bowmore 30 12 months Outdated, matured within the distant Islay distillery’s best sherry hogsheads and bourbon barrels. Bottled at a cask energy of 45.1% ABV, this uncommon whisky is ideal for collectors and followers of sought-after single malts formed by time.
A mixture of simply two casks, this 30-year-old is a celebration of Bowmore’s wealthy fruity and subtly smoky model, with flavours of tropical fruit, honey sweetness and peat smoke on the palate.
The 2021-release of Bowmore 30 12 months Outdated was distilled in 1989 and matured in a mix of sherry hogsheads and bourbon barrels till it was bottled in 2020. Aromas of heather honey, vanilla, butterscotch, raisins and peaches fill the nostril, complemented by notes of mango, fruit cake, warming peat smoke, crème brûlée, roasted pineapple and mint all through the palate.
