The GlenDronach Releases Cask Power Batch 11

The GlenDronach Distillery has introduced the eleventh launch of its Cask Power Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

With sherry wooden maturation, this expression continues the legacy set out by distillery founder James Allardice in 1826, which marries Highland spirit to Spanish oak. This eleventh batch of The GlenDronach Cask Power aged in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

On the nostril is mulled cranberry, orange and clove liqueur, the distillery studies, plus darkish honeyed treacle upon a base of nutty oak. Flavors on the palate embrace bramble wine and treacle toffee, with chocolate raisin, cinnamon maple and sultana. The end brings lingering Seville orange peel and nutmeg, with caramel and maraschino cherry.

“Add a drop or two of water to this newest expression to disclose a cornucopia of taste, from richly spiced bramble wine and treacle toffee, to lingering Seville orange peel and nutmeg layered with caramel and maraschino cherry,” provides Grasp Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie

As with all expressions of The GlenDronach, the pure colour is drawn from maturation in Spanish oak casks.

The GlenDronach Cask Power Batch 11 comes bottled at 59.8% ABV. It’s obtainable throughout the U.S. at a steered retail value of $100 per 750-ml. bottle.

This follows the current launch of The GlenDronach Grandeur Batch 11 and The GlenDronach Port Wooden single malt Scotch whisky in 2020.
