Our Drink of the Week is the Queen’s Park Swizzle


Created on the Queen’s Park Lodge in Trinidad again in January of 1895. The Queen’s Park Swizzle represents the essence of Trinidad with the one rum and bitters model produced and manufactured within the nation.

Have fun 200 years of the Home of Angostura turning drinks into cocktails with the notorious Queen’s Park Swizzle!

Queen’s Park Swizzle

Components:

  • 2 oz Angostura® 7-Yr-Outdated Rum
  • 1 oz Demerara Easy Syrup
  • 1 oz Recent Lime Juice
  • 12-14 mint leaves
  • 6-8 dashes of Angostura® Fragrant Bitters

Garnish: Mint Sprig

Preparation: Construct in a highball glass; muddle mint leaves in lime juice and easy syrup then fill glass with dry crushed ice. Pour rum over crushed ice and swizzle nicely till glass is ice-cold and frosted. Pack glass with extra crushed ice and prime with Angostura fragrant bitters.
