Penicillin Cocktail Recipe
The Penicillin is a contemporary traditional cocktail created by Australian-born bartender, Sam Ross. Sam has made many well-known cocktails while spending his time behind the bar at notorious NY cocktail bars akin to Milk & Honey, Pegu Membership and Attaboy. The Penicillin combines candy honey and spicy ginger syrup together with a blended whisky and a smoky Islay whisky floated on prime.
Components
- 60 ml blended Scotch whisky
- 22.5 ml lemon juice
- 10 ml honey syrup
- 10 ml ginger syrup
- 7.5 ml Islay whisky, float
Directions

In a cocktail shaker, mix all substances besides the Islay whisky

Shake with ice for 10-12 seconds

Pressure over contemporary ice into an quaint glass

Float the Islay Whisky

Garnish with skewered candied ginger or a lemon wheel
