Our Drink of the Week is the Winter Chai Scorching Toddy made with Tea Forte Winter Chai Tea
Each December requires a signature vacation drink. Our favourite? This Winter Chai Scorching Toddy, made with Empress 1908 Gin ‘s iconic INDIGO GIN and warming Winter Chai Tea. Cozy up with a cup or have it on the menu at your subsequent vacation gathering.

Winter Chai Scorching Toddy
Elements
- 1 Tea Forte Winter Chai Tea Infuser
- 1 1/2 oz Empress 1908 INDIGO GIN
- 1 oz honey syrup (combine equal elements honey and scorching water till dissolved)
- 1/2 oz recent lemon juice
- 1 sprint orange bitters
- ¾ cup Scorching water
Preparation
- Brew the winter chai tea: Place the Tea Forte Winter Chai infuser in a scorching toddy glass, and add scorching water.
- Let it steep for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add honey syrup, lemon juice, Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, and a splash of orange bitters to the glass.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a star anise, and a lemon slice.
