Interior West’s Marrickville Tavern reopens with a brand new look and sports-centric environment

Sonnel Hospitality Group has relaunched Marrickville Tavern with a recent look that celebrates each its legacy, and keenness for sport. Underneath the steerage of former Solotel CEO, Justine Baker, the tavern is embracing the tagline: Pies, Pints, and Punting.

Established in 1884, the pub provides free pool all day on Tuesdays and has been developed with a give attention to making a welcoming and female-friendly environment.

Beverage guide Brendan Hill has curated an affordable but well-crafted cocktail menu, together with espresso martinis and outdated fashioneds. Day by day drink specials embody $7 beers and home wines from 4-6pm on weekdays, and $15 post-game cocktails like margaritas and negronis from 9-11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The tavern’s meals menu has additionally been refreshed with a choice of traditional pies, reminiscent of pepper steak, crimson wine lamb shank, and rooster leek and mushroom.

The tavern has sporting memorabilia on show together with an IBF World Championship belt signed by boxing legend Kostya Tszyu. It’s also house to a mural of Marrickville-born boxing icon Jeff Fenech, referred to as the ‘Marrickville Mauler.’ The mural was created by Lara Allport and Miguel Gonzalez as a tribute to Fenech’s journey from native athlete to world champion. It’s signed by Fenech.

A full-sized pool desk sits below a three-metre large LED display, supported by a Bose sound system There are ten extra screens all through the venue so followers can take pleasure in stay sports activities across the clock, with a precedence on broadcasting girls’s competitions.
