An excellent 1979 classic bottled at 50.5% from a refill hogshead for The Sovereign collection. Dumbarton 31 Yr Previous 1988 classic Lowland single grain Scotch whisky. Chosen and bottled solely for The Whisky Barrel. 207 numbered bottles. This golden whisky has a nostril of apples, blueberries, and molten toffee. The palate is gentle and candy with notes of salted caramel, forest fruits and marzipan. The end is medium size, with a touch of lingering pepper.

Dumbarton Distillery is a misplaced Lowland grain distillery opened by Hiram Walker in 1938 on the location of the previous McMillan shipyard. The distillery sat on the banks of the River Leven and River Clyde in Dumbarton and was geared up with one steady nonetheless manufactured in Cincinnati.
