The Authentic 40 Brewing Releases Cans of Hello Tiki This Friday • thefullpint.com



(San Diego,CA) – The Authentic 40 Brewing Firm Head Brewer Zack Kaplan this week releases his first beer Hello Tiki, a bitter ale that’s accessible starting Friday on draft and in cans within the North Park taproom.

Original 40 Hi Tiki

Hello Tiki is a 5.0% ABV tropical-inspired bitter ale brewed with pineapple, coconut, and Sabro hops. It pours vivid golden yellow and has a tropical style with reasonable acidity.

“Hello Tiki pays homage to a few of my favourite surf journeys within the tropics and the drinks loved on the seashore there,” Kaplan mentioned. “I’m actually stoked to have this beer as my first launch and to get it out simply in time for these lovely summer season days in San Diego. I really feel fortunate to have the brewery assist of proprietor Steve Billings, Assistant Brewer Janne Altonen, and all the OG40 crew whereas getting my new brews dialed in.”

Kaplan joined Authentic 40 in Could, returning to San Diego after serving as the pinnacle brewer at Bonfire Brewing in Eagle, Colo., and Migration Brewing in Portland, Ore.

Kaplan started his profession within the craft brewing business in 2011, working for Inexperienced Flash Brewing Firm and subsequently Saint Archer Brewing Firm. He left for Colorado in 2015 and loved time with Denver Beer Firm and Upslope Brewing.

Kaplan studied mechanical engineering at UC San Diego after graduating from La Jolla Excessive College.

Authentic 40 Brewing is known as after the unique 40-acre parcel of land bought in 1893 by James Monroe Hartley that turned the modern-day North Park. It’s situated at 3117 College Ave, San Diego, CA 92104.
