Two new uncommon single malt expressions from Badachro Distillery
Badachro Distillery has launched two new restricted version whiskies to its Unhealthy na h-Achlaise vary of single malt whiskies.
Unhealthy na h-Achlaise Ruby Port End Cask Power is restricted to simply 30 bottles, making it a real collector’s merchandise. The intensely flavoured 57.9% spirit is bottled from individually nosed and chosen Ruby Port casks, mixing the purity of an unpeated Highland whisky with the depth and sweetness of fruity, first-fill ex-ruby port casks.
Becoming a member of it’s the Unhealthy na h-Achlaise Madeira Cask expression. 1,900 bottles can be found of the most recent within the Highland distillery’s experimental cask collection, which mixes Highland whisky with the complexity and sweetness of fruity, first-fill, individually nosed and chosen madeira casks.
Managing director Gordon Quinn stated: “We’re immensely pleased with our Unhealthy na h-Achlaise whiskies, and are excited for single malt followers to boost a dram to those two new expressions.
“The Madeira Cask expression is a light-weight and drinkable dram filled with flavours of purple cherries, a touch of bitter chocolate and strawberry sherbets – whereas the Ruby Port End Cask Power malt intensifies the favored fruity flavours of the common energy selection.
“Experimenting with completely different casks permits us to spotlight and amplify completely different flavours in our whisky, which means every has its personal, actually distinctive flavour profile.”
