Bardstown Discovery Sequence #8 is comprised of a mix of 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon (66%), a seven-year-old Indiana rye (17%), a six-year-old Indiana rye (6%), and a 12-year-old aged Canadian whisky (11%). The distillery then added a customized choice of 5 oak staves that have been created to boost the distinctive taste of the mix.
The 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon is made from a mash invoice that includes 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. The seven-year-old Indiana rye’s mash hill consists of 45% corn, 51% rye, and 4% malted barley; whereas the six-year-old is made up of 95% rye and 5% malted barley.
