The Be Spirits corridor will make room for spirits from all backgrounds, together with craft distilleries to family manufacturers, and make clear business developments for professionals.
Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium, mentioned: “In 2023, spirits, craft and alcohol-free drinks have gotten much more important with 20% further ground area in contrast with the 2022 occasion and 44% new exhibitors. Alongside the various French exhibitors, worldwide attendance shall be very robust with the return of Belgium, Canada, the US, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Romania, the UK and Switzerland. Alongside them shall be Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic and Vietnam as newcomers to the exhibition in 2023.”
27 classes of spirits shall be represented: anise-based drinks, armagnac, cachaça, calvados, cognac, cream liqueurs, brandies, gin, mezcal, RTDs, rum, rum infusions, saké, alcohol-free, tequila, tonic, vermouth, vodka and whisky.
New alcoholic drinks will enter the Be Spirits repertoire: absinthe, liqueurs, bitter, pisco, onerous tea and shochu, together with ciders and beers.
Be Spirits can even embody a 40-metre-long Infinite Bar, a focus within the Be Spirits Corridor, welcoming European bars to showcase high mixologists or up-and-coming personalities within the bartender scene.
The Craft Pavilion, a brand new space, shall be reserved for the upcoming technology, with younger producers of spirits, RTDs, alcohol-free drinks, ciders and beers.
As a part of the ON! programme, the brand new ‘Speakeasy’ space, would be the venue for masterclasses, conferences and panel discussions dedicated to new developments and challenges within the international spirits market.
The road-up already consists of:
· A masterclass on brandy curated by Lucien Bernard
· A ‘Spirits’ masterclass by the WSET
· A ‘Sowine’ convention hosted by Marie Mascré: ‘Z (for zebra?): youthful generations and their relationship with wines and spirits’
· A masterclasses by the Japan Sake and Shochu Affiliation
The French Federation of Wine & Spirits Exporters (FEVS) can even reveal figures for French wine and spirits exports at its annual press convention on Tuesday 14 February at 10am within the ‘LET’S SPEAK WINE!’ space.
