SACRAMENTO, July 27, 2022 – California Affiliation of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) Chairman Tom Slater right now introduced the appointment of Natalie Collins as interim president. She replaces John Aguirre who retired after twelve years of service.
“CAWG may be very pleased to have Natalie on this position,” Slater stated. “She has been part of the CAWG household for a few years, and her perception and dedication to the affiliation are effectively acquired. The CAWG board of administrators seems to be ahead to working with Natalie on all points and appreciates her contributions towards the long run success of our membership.”
Collins stated, “I’m honored to function interim president and humbled by this chance. I look ahead to persevering with the legacy of robust management and advocacy on behalf of our growers. Winegrape growers in California right now are going through unprecedented challenges, and I take severely CAWG’s management position on this iconic trade.”
Collins joined CAWG in 2015 because the director of member relations and rapidly established herself as integral to the development of the affiliation. She is a graduate of California State College, Chico with a Bachelor of Science in agricultural enterprise and minors in organizational communications and enterprise administration. Previous to becoming a member of CAWG, she was a program director for the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation and a 2015 graduate of the Management Farm Bureau program.
Natalie resides in Lodi together with her husband Kyle and their two kids.
