Decanter sponsors inaugural Be Inclusive Hospitality Highlight Awards


Be Inclusive Hospitality (BIH) is a not-for-profit organisation, born out of the shortage of illustration of Black, Asian and minority teams in any respect ranges of the hospitality, meals & drink business. Based by Lorraine Copes in 2020, its mission is to speed up racial fairness within the business. 

The Highlight Awards is the primary of its variety for BIH, aptly named as it’s going to shine a highlight on companies and people from Black, Asian and minority backgrounds by recognising their skills.

Not solely will the Highlight Awards give the winners and nominees a platform to be celebrated, it’s going to additionally give them an opportunity to be seen on a a lot wider scale, and open the door for extra alternatives sooner or later.

Chetna Makan @chetnamakan
Chetna Makan was a part of the ‘Nice British Bake off’ in 2014 the place she shared her ardour for Indian meals by incorporating Indian flavours with English bakes. She has since written six cookbooks and developed recipes for Waitrose journal, BBC Good Meals, Sainsbury’s and nationwide newspapers.

David Jesudason @davidjes601
