Two new IPAs from Los Angeles-based Golden Highway Brewing, each canned beneath the model new “Trip On” sub-label, which seems to be dedicated to the peculiar tradition of browsing and the VW minibus. Let’s drink.
Golden Highway Brewing Trip On 10 Hop Hazy IPA – Made with 10 sorts of hops, for Golden Highway’s 10 12 months anniversary. Initially shiny and fruity, with notes of tangerine, lemon, and guava, issues take a flip towards a barely funky character because the beer’s maltiness grows, competing closely with the hops. A bit syrupy all through, with notes of maple and tree sap rising because the palate builds, the end by no means fairly gelled for me, particularly because the beer warmed up. 7.5% abv. B
Golden Highway Brewing Trip On West Coast IPA – I like a beer that tells you precisely what it’s. West Coast IPA: I get it! Not many surprises right here provided that setup, although this is a little more tropical than the standard California IPA. There’s an ample, piney bitterness right here, a contact resinous however nothing unmanageable. A contact inexperienced, barely nutty on the end, with a scoop of lemon curd. Fantastic. 7% abv. B
