Glenmorangie Releases A Story of the Forest Scotch

The most recent new expression from Glenmorangie is A Story of the Forest Scotch, a whisky comprised of barley kilned with woodland botanicals.

These embody juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers, together with a bit peat.

On the nostril is good malt, biscuit, and creaminess with a botanical edge, like juniper or coriander, the corporate says. A splash of water releases natural and perfumed high notes, resembling juniper, coriander, damp woodland, pine needles, nettle and mint. The palate brings a peppery, effervescent mouthfeel earlier than peppermint, menthol, eucalyptus, pine, wooden sap, angelica, bitter orange and a touch of fragrant wooden smoke.
