Hickson Rd. launches Wild Rosé Summer season Cup, a gin-based, fashionable Australian twist on the basic British fruit cup


To have a good time the beginning of summer season, the skilled distilling and bartending group at Hickson Home has collaborated with small-batch Regal Rogue vermouth to hand-craft an all-Australian, modern expression of the basic British fruit cup.

Hickson Rd. Summer season Cup is a lightweight and refreshing,  gin-based tipple with a dry, tropical fruit aroma, plus hints of citrus, vanilla and dried fruit, complementing the unmistakable juniper notes – a flexible base for a spread of scrumptious cocktails, completely suited to the Australian Summer season.

Hickson Rd. Summer season Cup embraces the expansion of aperitifs and rosés as refreshing alternate options to raise conventional wine events, and Australia’s thirst for lower-ABV, extra subtle spirits serves.

Summer season Cup is created by mixing the award-winning Hickson Rd. Australian Dry Gin with Regal Rogue’s natural Wild Rosé Vermouth, married with tonka beans, native bush tomato and muntrie berries.

After mixing the gin and vermouth, Hickson Home head distiller Tim Stones provides contemporary muntrie berries and steeps them for 5 days to construct the fruity character of the vermouth and improve the distinctive, vibrant rosé color. Lastly, he delicately blends tonka bean and bush tomato distillate from a 70L copper nonetheless to stability the liquid.

The Wild Rosé Summer season Cup will star at Hickson Home in quite a lot of cocktails – from the signature Hickson Rd. Summer season Cup, to a Summer season Royale, and even a Wild Rosé Negroni – lots of that are easy to recreate at dwelling. The liquid can also be designed to encourage clients’ and bartenders’ creativity, encouraging experimentation with their favorite flavours.
