Crafted in Bardstown, Kentucky, The Single Barrel Double Oak is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has been double barreled in New American Oak and completed in used American Oak barrels.
The Single Barrel Double Oak pays homage to HIRSCH’s famed A.H. Hirsch 16-12 months-Previous Gold Foil, whereas reaffirming the model’s steadfast dedication to uphold the A.H. Hirsch legacy by means of the curation of outstanding American whiskey. This particular expression started with an eight-year Kentucky bourbon to convey ahead softer notes from the wooden. GSN’s Remarks: Richly endowed nostril of deep oak and candy corn, overlaid with some peppery baking spices. Curiously, there’s plenty of taste on the entrance of the palate, with a candy molasses character that carries the load of the extra refined flavors of wooden, corn, rye and younger tobacco. The end is medium, with plenty of the excessive notes ending towards the again of the throat. The whole lot concludes with a slight tannic bitterness on the tongue. GSN Ranking: A-
