Lot No. 40 Darkish Oak Whisky


Lot No. 40 whisky, produced at Hiram-Walker Distillery in Windsor, Canada, has launched its second product within the U.S. market: Lot No. 40 Darkish Oak.

That is supposed as a much bigger, bolder model of the unique Lot No. 40 launch, the corporate says.

Like its predecessor, Darkish Oak is a 100% rye grain whisky, distilled in a pot nonetheless. However this new launch is introduced at a better proof (96 proof), and twice barreled in new oak barrels.

The primary barreling is a char no. 2, and the second barreling is a char no. 4, which is what provides the whisky extra depth of taste and a darker coloration, the corporate says.

“We’re very excited to deliver this award-winning whisky to the U.S. Lot 40 Darkish Oak units a brand new normal for Canadian rye whisky,” says Grasp Blender Dr. Don Livermore. “100% rye, pot-distilled, double aged in quantity 2 and quantity 4 new white oak casks, and 48% ABV: ticks all of the packing containers when making premium whisky. Completely considered one of my favourite whiskies on the earth.”

Lot No. 40 Darkish Oak has hit cabinets in markets throughout the U.S., together with: New York, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Portland and Dallas/Ft. Value.
