Sweden’s Mackmyra Distillery has launched Second Virvelvind, their final version within the Second collection.
And to shut out the collection, the distiller took inspiration from the primary version of the collection, Second Medvind.
The newest Second Virvelvind is a single malt whisky matured in Sweden’s Bodås Mine since distillation at Mackmyra’s headquarters. The discharge grew to become accessible in restricted portions beginning Might twenty fifth.

- 42% 1st Fill Bourbon, 200L, from 2007
- 32% 1st Fill Bourbon Smoke, 200L, from 2010
- 13% New Swedish Oak, 100L, pre-aged whisky from 2010
- 13% 2nd Fill Oloroso, 200L, pre-aged whisky from 2010
Bottled this spring, there are solely 2,049 complete 750 mL bottles, and the whisky clocks in at 46.8% ABV. It has a instructed retail worth of £109 or €122.49.
