Created by Takuma Watanabe, Proprietor of Martiny’s
Components:
- 1.5 oz. iichiko Saiten
- 2 oz. Recent Pineapple Juice
- 0.5 oz. Yuzu
- 0.5 oz. Recent Basil Syrup
Preparation: Add all components to a shaker tin, shake, then pour right into a coupe glass with ice. Garnish with a basil leaf.
On the nostril, iichiko Saiten is redolent with aromas of honeydew melon, white grape, pickled watermelon rind and kabosu citrus. There are additionally hints of soy, white pepper and wealthy barley notes.
On the palate, iichiko Saiten has a powerful begin and a protracted end. It exudes wealthy umami notes of jasmine tea, white peach, minerals and earth with some citrus and a saline end that beckons one other sip. Its complicated flavors supply thrilling choices for mixing in cocktails.
