Baptist Avenue Rec. Membership is making its arrival recognized, situated above Island Radio in Wunderlich Lane, Redfern, with its traditional meets trendy vibe. The Rec Membership is a tribute to 80s and 90s Australian tradition, mixing native pub heat with late-night vitality.

Behind the bar, Dan Cramsie (ex-Clam Bar, Pepito’s) and Home Made Hospitality’s Jason Williams have crafted a cocktail menu that reworks classics with an easy twist.

The Japanese Slipper is reinvented with native finger lime and yuzucello, whereas the White Russian will get an improve with burnt butter vodka and maple cream. The Breakfast Martini leans into nostalgia with spiced pineapple marmalade and a toast garnish, whereas month-to-month specials hold issues recent, with drinks just like the savoury-sweet Beetroot Negroni or a tangy Earl Gray Fizz. For Cramsie and Williams, it’s all about stability and creativity with out being overcomplicated.

Bangkok Dreaming delivers a tackle Thai-inspired bar snacks together with crab betel leaves, spring rolls, and the traditional cash luggage to convey a mixture of crunch and spice, good for sharing and pairing with a cocktail.

The beer choice is a group of native brews, a house-made Reccy Lager, and some sudden gems. The wine checklist, curated by Ahmad Fahda, focuses on small-batch producers, with pét-nats, chilled reds, and daring whites.

With heat wooden panelling, dusty orange carpets, and a Trophy Room drenched in classic medals, the area nods to an Australian previous time.
