Benromach 2010/2021 (58.4%, OB, for The Whisky Change, first-fill bourbon barrel, cask #390, 211 bottles) 
Color: straw. Nostril: a tad hottish however gloriously stuffed with burning hay and lemon icing at first, then mercurochrome and simply iodine. Benromach 40 yo (57.1%, OB, first-fill oloroso sherry, 1047 bottles, 2021) 
I could not spot any classic statements on this model new one, so it may very well be a multi-vintage expression, similar to the excellent 2019 version that we tried earlier in August (WF 91). Now the 2019 was bourbon + sherry, while this new 2021 is full sherry. It is nonetheless ‘Diageo’ distillation as G&M purchased the then silent Benromach Distillery in 1993 and restarted manufacturing in 1998. By the way in which Diageo stored bottling some Benromach after the sale, for instance with a 1978/1998 Uncommon Malts which, by the way in which, I did not like an excessive amount of, however let’s transfer on… Color: bronze gold, in order that they weren’t ‘darkish’ sherry casks.
