10 Australian finalists battled it out for the Australian title of Amaro Montenegro “Vero Bartender” on Tuesday 23rd August at Bridge Lane Bar in Sydney in entrance of a packed crowd.
The theme for 2022’s version was Sharing the Essence; bartenders needed to create a large-format sharing cocktail that tells the story of a metaphorical or bodily journey or journey that has impressed them. The profitable cocktail captured the bartender’s distinctive ability within the artwork of making moments of significant togetherness.
A complete of 10 finalists amongst 53 legitimate entries acquired, have been chosen to make their cocktail creation in entrance of a dwell panel of judges together with Adam Lau, 2019 Australian Vero Bartender Nationwide champion, and Mark Hickey, Spirits Platform Nationwide Academy Program & Model Ambassadorial Supervisor and Josh O’Brien, Spirits Platform NSW Model Ambassador. Visitor choose was David Spanton from Australian Bartender Journal.

The Australian winner was Thomas Opie from Births & Deaths in Wollongong NSW. He’ll now compete towards different bartenders from all around the world within the world remaining of The Vero Bartender in Italy in October 22.
