Glen Grant 18 yo (56.1%, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, for 19 Greville Road, #9.198, Crumbly Biscuits and Heavenly Blossom, 222 bottles, 2021)

Nostril: it is a particularly impartial Glen Grant, on grass and lime juice, with out a lot honey, flowers, and even apples. Glen Grant 23 yo 1997/2021 (53%, Quaich Bar Singapore, Signature Reserve, 220 bottles)

Glen Grant 65 yo 1956/2021 (55.9%, Gordon & MacPhail, Connoisseurs Selection, LMDW 65 Anniversary, first fill sherry butt, cask #4451, 100 bottles) 
I discover it outstanding that they might have bottled this vintage Glen Grant as a Connoisseurs Selection. An excellent feeling right here… We have already tried a couple of 1956 GGs by G&M, all fairly good, the newest of them having been the totally flabbergasting 62/1956 ‘Mr George Centenary Version’ (WF 94). Prime of the pyramid so far as sherried Speysiders are involved, all manufacturers and distilleries included. Color: mild mahogany with purple hues. Nostril: completely astounding, as anticipated. Gold medal of malt whisky. Elegant resins, balms, liqueurs… It’s a masterpiece. Mouth (neat): mint cream, chocolate, caraway liqueur and correct Italian espresso. Then tar, liquorice, pu-her, extra chestnut honey, heather as nicely, white clover honey, luggage of raisins, a drop of sriracha and one in every of tabasco… However quite much less meaty/gamey tones than in different comparable bottlings. With water: it is the tightness, the freshness, the vivacity that is most spectacular right here. Some chic figs, kumquats and bergamots plus some superlative mints of all types, whereas I couldn’t discover even the faintest flaw this far. Not even ‘wooden’. End: that is the place they might are likely to turn into a bit woody, a bit drying, a bit too ‘tannic’. Not this one! Darjeeling, lapsang souchong, marmalades, candies and coffees, hoisin sauce, extra chestnut honey, spearmint, cough syrup, tar liqueur, and so on and so on and so on. Feedback: could I simply write ‘wow!’ Please? In my e book, it is on par with 2021’s 67/1953 ‘Mr George Legacy’.
