Batch 2 of The GlenAllachie 30-year-old Cask Power Single Malt is

Sizzling on the heels of saying whisky veteran Billy Walker’s 50th Anniversary within the Scotch Whisky business, The GlenAllachie right this moment launches the second instalment of its oldest and most prestigious core providing: The GlenAllachie 30-year-old Cask Power Batch 2 Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The annual batch-release by the main distiller debuted final 12 months to nice acclaim, with the small amount of bottles issued being met with substantial demand.

Batch 2 (UK RRSP £600) is a restricted launch of simply 2,000 bottles globally, every encased in a premium black inflexible field with impactful gold foil detailing.

The second instalment marries vintage whiskies from eight casks handpicked by Walker from shares spanning greater than 50,000 maturing throughout 16 on-site warehouses at GlenAllachie.

To create this refined whisky, Walker meticulously chosen 1990 and 1991 vintages matured in six former Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry hogsheads and puncheons, together with two 1990 American virgin oak barrels which have been toasted and charred to a medium stage.

The results of Walker’s distinctive mixing and wooden administration prowess is an excellent whisky that epitomises wealthy Sherry-matured class, with flavour profile revealing layers of Seville orange, espresso beans, desiccated coconut and Medjool dates.

The remarkably opulent Speyside Single Malt is bottled at its cask energy of fifty.8% ABV, non chill filtered and with out added color.

TASTING NOTES

The GlenAllachie 30-year-old Cask Power Batch 2 – 50.8% ABV

Color: Wealthy Mahogany.

Nostril: Bursting with heather honey, sultanas and mocha, adopted by waves of cinnamon, coconut shavings and dried fruits.

Style: Lashings of darkish chocolate, figs and orange zest, with hints of treacle, raisins and cinnamon, with nutmeg on the end.
