This small-batch blended scotch whisky consists of rigorously chosen single-malt and single-grain whiskies. They’ve all been aged for greater than 6 years earlier than being blended and rested, after which bottled by Thompson Bros. at Dornoch Distillery. It has been chosen to have a good time sherry maturation, and its character is impressed by the sherry-forward blends of the previous. As soon as rested, the whisky was slowly diluted to 46% – a superb steadiness of easy-drinking quaffability and flavour-forward depth. It was then bottled with out chill-filtration and no colouring is added.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE Plum sauce, miso, maggi, golden sultanas, cinder toffee, espresso crèmè pâtissière.
PALATE Golden sultanas, raisin loaf, buttered jamaica cake, maple & toasted cinnamon.
FINISH Comfortable heat spices, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Orange peel and dried figs.
